The Saga of the Saga...

Hi all,
We went into this thinking doing the actual comic was going to be the hard part, that a basic website, and a blog, and a facebook page would be a piece of cake in comparison... oh, how naive we were. But! There is light at the end of the tunnel... Yes! The saga of getting the saga of Spacelord MoFo out there for the world to see, well, you who are reading this, is nearly over. Days of almost there, turned into weeks of almost there, but now... we're really almost there... Hell Yeah! It's going to feel so good to post the first installment of The Legend of Spacelord Mo Fo on the official SpacelordMoFo website very soon! Those panels have been burning a hole in our hard drives for weeks now! Now, there is temptation to offer a sneak peak of the finished panels here on the blog, but... we've waited this long, so we're not going to... instead, here's a one of Dave's development pics of one of our two heroes... Bran Mak Foo...

And this one is the fully rendered version of the art we used on the "Have U Seen This Mo Fo?" T-Shirt....
See you all very soon at the grand unveiling of the SpacelordMoFo website...

Cheers all,
Pat

Post-Supanova Brisbane Report (the second one). We went. We saw. We kicked... ah, you know the rest...

Howdy All,
The Mo Fo invasion of Supanova Brisbane 2011 (the second one) is over. All objectives were reached... the objectives being to get the Mo Fo seen by as many people as we possibly could, and to catch up with all the other cool creatives attending Oz's biggest Pop Culture Expo! I'm told numbers were down on the April Supanova, but it still seemed pretty awesome to a couple of guys from little 'ole' Adelaide.
We did our free T-Shirt promotion again (see a few pics below... and on our Facebook page), sold a bunch more (yay!) and just had a very cool time of it!
For those who dropped by the stand, or were so verbally encouraged until they stopped to see what the fuss was all about, thanks for taking some time to check out our big little project. Getting such cool and positive feedback ... well, except for that one guy... yeah, you know who you are!... was the best part of our Expo experience!
And now... a few Expo snaps...
Darren from Dark Oz, the Mo Fos and Paul Abstruse
Xena and the Mo Fos... hey, sounds like an awesome band!!
Getting his Mo Fo on!
 Photobombing the Mo Fos!
Mo Fos with Bruce, and Drew Close of Golden Age
Que Jeffster's 'Blaze of Glory!'
And people said I was crazy when I said I've got this character, Scratch, who dresses in pink bows and white frills! - "Like that would ever happen!"
And for those who don't know Jeffster from 'Chuck'... shame on you... here's some educatin'

And lastly... an update on the saga of the official Mo Fo website. We're very close to launching! So, keep watching the MoFoBlog!
Cheers all,
Pat

Brisbane Supanova Spacelord Mo Fo Launch Countdown Is Go!

* because any excuse to play the Thunderbirds Intro music is a good excuse...

Right then... Howdy All,
Yes! We've mostly recovered from Armageddon just in time for Supanova! How the planet survived the first still puzzles me, but, hey, sometimes you just have to go with the narrative. Now, before we get into the Supanova biz, here's a quick update on what's happening with the Spacelordmofo website and the comic. Technical issues have delayed the official 'go' of the website. Our dedicated team of web gurus, well, our web guy, is busy ironing out the bugs, and we're told it's almost ready... and then, we'll be able to release the first installment of Episode 1 of The Legend of Spacelord Mo Fo! and we join you in quoting our favorite Richter, 'It's about god damned time!'
Now, onto Supanova...
The Supanova Brisbane Launch of The Legend of Spacelord Mo Fo is only days away, and we can't wait to get there, because when those doors open and the 25,000 crazed fans of all things pop culture storm the hall, well... you know, now that I'm typing this, um... it's gonna be quite scary really. Think about it, that many different fan factions all crammed into one giant hall, together. Holy Shit! It's gonna be a wall to wall Jedi vs Vulcan, Batmen vs Ironmen, Totoro vs Chesire Cat, fan-crazy smackdown!! And right there in the middle of it all, will be Spacelord Mo Fo.
Yes, we're gonna have to do our bit to keep the crazy to a minimum, or just usefully directed. How so, you ask? Well, I'm glad you did.
We're goin' all out in our effort to spread the Mo Fo word! First of all, there's the FREE T-SHIRT PROMOTION! ... AGAIN! Yes, if you get to our stand early enough on Saturday and Sunday (we only have TEN freebies)... and provided you're going to be at Supanova all day... and don't mind wearing the T-shirt... and having your picture taken... while playing with guns... like these cool Mo Fos...

... then, we'll be happy to give you a FREE 'Have You Seen This Mo Fo? T-Shirt.
Now, even if you miss out on the Free T-Shirt Promotion, we're doing a SUPANOVA ONLY sale of all of our T-Shirts for only $10! We want the to see Mo Fos and Gun Lovers and Bad Kitty's everywhere, so don't you go feeling guilty about only paying $10... 'cause we're happy to use you as our walking advertisement boards!
We're also doing a 'Whole Mo Fo Package' deal on all of our Postcards and Magnets, and seein' as a picture speaks a thousand words...
So, if you're in Brisbane, and you're going to Supanova, make sure you pay us a visit, because we really are friendly people, and we think you'll really like to hear about the Mo Fo! Hell, you may be so impressed, you'll want to follow the cinegraphic novel series online... for free!... er... when the website is up... very soon! We promise!

Cheers all,
Pat

Post-Armageddon Report Pt III

Hi All,
Okay, this is the last Post-Armageddon Report... any more and I'll probably be doing them from Supanova...
I've just posted the last batch of pics from Day 2 of Armageddon on our Facebook Page. Some really cool costumes, especially Steve Scholz's Sucker Punch Mech suit. Simply awesome!! And of course there's the rest of the Mo Fo Army recruits having fun with their guns! That was a lot of fun to watch. On the Monday morning after Armageddon, Dave and I hit a few stores in Melbourne, and then after our hands stopped hurting, we went inside and dropped off a few flyers to promote TLOSLMF. So thanks to everyone at Minotaur, All Star Comics, Of Science And Swords, Classic Comics and Blasphemy. And now... a few pics...

Amazing Original Costume... pity I missed getting a shot with the wings attached.
Steve Scholz in Sucker Punch Mech! Awesome!
Mo Fos love their guns!
Mo Fos @ Classic Comics
Mo Fos @ Minotaur
Mo Fos @ All Star Comics
Mo Fos @ Of Science And Swords
Mo Fos @ Blasphemy

Well, that's all folks in regards to our huge Melbourne Armageddon trip. Dave and I just want to give an extra shout out to Steve and Catherine Scholz and David Draven (Steve and David seen earlier as Mad Max and Snake Pliskin) for helping to make our celebratory drinks/launch night such an awesome success!

And now, a quick update on the launch of the Spacelordmofo.com website, and the first installment of TLOSLMF... it's coming! Very soon! Days away even!

Cheers all,
Pat

Post-Armageddon Report Pt II

Hi All,
Just posted a bunch more photos from Day 1 of Armageddon Expo Melbourne on our Facebook Page, plus some cool pics from our After-Armageddon celebratory drinks/launch at the Urban Central Bar on Saturday. Mad Max and Snake Pliskin were in the house... and a few more bad-ass Mo Fos! Cheers to all who came along and dared the stage! Here's a few of the best...

Scratch Lives! aka The Countess. One very cool kitty!
Unleashing our inner Mo Fo! Not that we needed a lot of encouragement...
And so, The Legend of Spacelord Mo Fo is officially launched...

One last update to go... then, Dave and I will be getting ready for Brisbane Supanova, November 4th-6th! See you all there hopefully!

Cheers,
Pat

Post-Armageddon Report Pt 1.

Howdy all,

Just a quick update to say thanks to all the Mo Fos who dropped by our stand at last weekend's Armageddon Expo in Melbourne! We had a fantastic time, and the response to Spacelord Mo Fo was... well, it was mind-blowingly cool! I'm posting a few of the best photos from the Expo here, the rest can be found at our Facebook page www.facebook.com/spacelordmofo.

Our stand!
We were down the back there... somewhere after the fifteen thousand people who attended!
And a few new recruits for the Mo Fo Army!

As for the actual Legend of Spacelord Mo Fo Cinegraphic Novel, Dave and I are racing to get the first bunch of panels complete so the Official Website can go live this weekend with the first installment of Episode 1! Yay!!

More Armageddon updates to come!

Cheers all!

The MoFoVerse is ready to launch!

*Warning -- Hyperbole May Be Present In The Following Post...

Okay. One post. So many announcements... here we go...

Greetings MoFoers! and cheers for pointing your web-whatever-you-browse-with, at the Spacelord Mo Fo Blog! Herein, Dave and I will be posting regular updates, cool stuff, and occasionally rant and rail against the powers and principalities we feel are oppressing our desire for global domination via our awesomely ass-kickingly kick-ass Cinegraphic Novel Series -- The Legend of Spacelord Mo Fo!  (For those not familiar with the Mo Fo or us, please direct your attention to the information section to the right of this post. Thank You.)

Right... now that I've got your attention, the first piece of rock-your-world news is...

THE LAUNCH!

The Legend of Spacelord Mo Fo Cinegraphic Novel is being launched at the Melbourne Armageddon Pop Culture Expo in Australia, October 22-23rd, 2011, and the Brisbane Supanova Expo, November 4-6th, 2011.  So if you're going to be at either, stop by our double-sized stand in the Artist Alley (one stand's not big enough for the Mo Fo!) and say "Hi"or something... or just be shocked and awed by all of the awesome stuff we'll have on display.

FREE T-SHIRT PROMOTION!!

Yes, you read it right we're having a FREE T-SHIRT PROMOTION at Armageddon and Supanova. On the Saturday and Sunday of both shows, we're giving away TEN 'Have You Seen This Mo Fo?' T-shirts to anyone who wants to join the Mo Fo Army! The catch is (...yes, of course there's a catch) you need to wear the shirt at the Expo for the day... and, if you really care about us, take photos of yourself in the T-shirt (...pants optional) with as many cool and colorful people at the Expo as you can, including other Mo Foers, and then send us your best pics! We'll post our faves up here, and there'll be an additional cool prize for the absolute best Mo Foing photo (as judged by us, all decisions final, no appeals will be heard).

(See far below for a view of the T-Shirt... and other T-Shirts that require money to be exchanged in order to satisfy your I-must-have-that-awesome-Mo-Fo-t-shirt craving... come on, say it with me... I Must Have That Awesome Mo Fo T-Shirt... and again...)

THE LAUNCH PARTY!

To celebrate the arrival of the Mo Fo, Ironclad Imagineers (that's also me and Dave for those who haven't read all the info on the right) invites you to an After-Armageddon Launch Party on Saturday, 22nd October, at the Urban Central Bar, 7pm til 9pm. Launching TLOSLMF is Australia's own cinematic Mo Fo legend, Mad Max (SA Cosplay Champion, Steve Scholz). First One Hundred to join the Mo Foing celebrations will get a free drink voucher at the door (4 Wine, Bubbly & Beer only) and there'll be food stuff on platters for those who require other-than-beverage sustenance.

The Launch will have a few cool door prizes, some incredibly witty speeches, and yes, many attempts to get you to fork out real money for the inaugural merchandise we'll have for sale. Though, and let's be crystal clear about this, once the Mo Fo has become the global domination machine it so obviously deserves to be, that 'inaugural merchandise' will be worth a fortune! Not that we want to promote a capitalist agenda (...well, yes we do) or suggest TLOSLMF is going to be the most ass-kickingly kick-ass Cinegraphic Novel ever (... but we are) we're just saying you can retire from the sale of an Action Comics Issue 1 (... yes, you really can... unless you're Nicolas Cage, in which case, I was genuinely sorry to hear about your financial woes. I think you've done some awesome films, maybe not Ghost Rider, but Drive Angry was a hoot! and Wild at Heart was totally Fuck Yeah!).

SPACELORDMOFO.COM LAUNCHING 20TH OCTOBER, 2011!
We've slaved away for an epically long, endurance-testing month, er week... okay, it was days, to build the Official Website of The Legend of Spacelord Mo Fo where the actual TLOSLMF cinegraphic novel will be available, FREE, for everyone to be amazed by.

But, don't go there yet, because it's... well, there's nothing there right now (though, if you're reading this after the 20th October 2011, then there is... assuming the planet has not been struck by an asteroid, or the Yellowstone Supervolcano has erupted, or there's been some kind of Global Economic Collapse... again... again...).

JOIN OUR FACEBOOK, TWITTER, MYSPACE, AND THAT NEW 'INSERT NEW SOCIAL MEDIA WE MUST ALL BE ON HERE' PAGE/ACCOUNT/THING

Yep, were hip, we're cool, we're down with the whatever cool kids are street with these days, we've got our Mo Fo FACEBOOK page, and our TWITTER account, and our MYSPACE page... What? ... Oh... okay, forget I mentioned it... but we do have those other really cool pages you can follow us on and help us promote the Mo Fo to the rest of the world... and if some new cool Social Media phenom comes along, be assured you'll be able to follow us on that too.

MO FO T-SHRTS!

We're going to have four bad Mo Foing t-shirts available at Armageddon and Supanova and... let's be honest, they'll be available any time anyone wants to buy one...

There's the Have You Seen This Mo Fo? T-Shirt (See FREE PROMOTION details above).

And Honey Pott... Gun lover!

And here's... Scratch! Cute Cat... Bad Kitty! (on White)

 And Scratch again... (on black)

But wait, there's more... er... actually, no there's not. You've reached the end of our first blog post. Congrats on achieving this awesome milestone. So, just to recap (there will be a test later)... TLOSLMF is launching at Melbourne Armageddon Expo 22-23rd October & Brisbane Supanova November 4th-6th. Come and see us. Join the Mo Fo Army.
